In looking for a new track to post today, I had a song in mind by a different band and was starting to do the write up for it, but the truth was (and the reason I have posted so late today) is that I really wasn't feeling it. So, I changed direction when I cam across the Odds debut album "Neopolitan".
This album came out in 1991. I found it a couple years later and their power pop sound carried me throughout my High School career.
Vancouver natives, the Odds were formed 1987, and doing mostly covers at that time, under the name of Dawn Patrol. The band, which was made up of Craig Northey (vocals, guitar), Steven Drake (guitar, vocals), Doug Elliot (bass) and Paul Brennan (drums) eventually
moved to LA when they signed with Zoo Records and produced this album. Unfortunately for them, it only ended up producing a couple of "minor" hits in Canada, but I still loved it.
